Version History ### Voice Feedback No Longer Lowers Your Music for the Whole Session
The audio session used for voice announcements was configured to duck (lower the volume of) other audio and was never deactivated, so once a single voice announcement had played, the racer's background music, podcast, or nav audio stayed quiet for the rest of the session. Voice feedback now mixes with other audio without holding a persistent duck, so your music returns to full volume between announcements.
### High CPU on Map Screens
The Tiled and Reduced map screens could peg the CPU during active racing. Two hotspots were fixed: per-frame waypoint lookups that scanned the entire route linearly (now use a faster search), and racer-label rendering that rebuilt formatting work every redraw. This lowers CPU load and heat, and improves battery life while a map screen is open — especially on long routes and crowded courses.
### "Show Other Racers" — ALL Option Removed
The "Show Other Racers" setting previously offered an **ALL** option, which could bury the map in markers and overwhelm the display at a large race start. ALL has been removed; the setting now caps at the nearest **34** racers. Racers who previously had ALL selected are automatically migrated to 34. 4.1.2 Jul 22 IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES
* Better Offline & Low-Signal Reliability: The app no longer crashes if you launch it with poor cell service, keeping your navigation subscription active while offline.
* Accurate Average Speeds: Resetting your speed now completely clears out older speed data so your new average speed is immediately accurate.
* Battery & Tracking Fix: Fixed an issue that sent duplicate location updates when running multiple tracking features at the same time.
* Faster Startup: The app loads much faster because it only loads the route of your active race instead of processing all stored races.
* Quick Splits Refresh: Added a button to manually refresh checkpoint and split times directly on the Splits screen.
* Clearer Dashboards: Simplified time fields on your dashboard to read clearly in hours, minutes, and seconds.
* Account Privacy: Added a "Delete My Data" option in settings to quickly clear your name, phone, and boat number from the app.
CROSS-PLATFORM ALIGNMENT
* Reliable Checkpoints: Checkpoint arrival tracking matches the exact rules set by your race director.
* No Duplicate Announcements: The app will no longer read aloud multiple checkpoint arrival voice notifications for a single stop.
* Smart Voice Speed: Spoken announcements automatically speed up or slow down to match how often your location is updated.
* Safe Setup: Prevents you from accidentally exiting the Setup screen if you missed any required details.
* Rest Limit: Clamps maximum custom off-water rest calculations to 8 hours. 4.1.0 Jul 16 Modernized Interface: Enjoy a completely refreshed, cleaner, and more intuitive user interface designed for seamless navigation on the move.
Enhanced Safety Features: Stay secure with direct administrative messaging and a built-in Self-SOS emergency trigger to alert officials and ground crews when you need assistance.
Tiled Offline Maps: Maintain critical situational awareness even outside cellular range with reliable, high-performance offline map tiling.
